More Positive Press For Ambergris Caye, Belize

by Admin on February 28, 2014

Ambergris-Caye-san-pedro-belizeIslands magazine released its 2014 series “Best Islands To Live On” in February. Ambergris Caye made news again from the worldwide press as one of the best islands to live on throughout the globe. So why did Ambergris Caye make the list? Islands magazine weighed a bunch of criteria to come up with their rankings. Ambergris Caye hit most of them. Ambergris Caye is a short 2 to 2 ½ hour flight from multiple destinations from U.S. airport hubs: Dallas, Miami, Houston, Charlotte, and Atlanta. In addition to these short flights from the United States; I mentioned in a prior blog post about a new direct flight from Los Angeles that started this winter.
Real estate is very affordable compared to other coastal destinations and islands around the world. On some Caribbean Islands, you would have to be a multi-millionaire in order to purchase a home or condo. On Ambergris Caye, my team has studio condos that start at $79,000. We have resort 1 bedroom condos that start at $127,000…….Two bedroom condos with developments directly on the Caribbean, starting in the mid $100,000’s…….Land prices can start dirt cheap for only $10k……..Direct Caribbean beachfront land starts in the high $100,000’s. Affordability is no problem! If you would like more information on Ambergris Caye real estate, please visit our Belize homepage.
One of the most common phrases you’ll hear visitors use to describe what they like most about Ambergris Caye; they’ll say “the people.” I travel throughout the world and have lived on Ambergris Caye for as much as six weeks at a time. When I’m back in Ambergris Caye, it feels like I’m communicating like we did before the innovations of cell phones and internet technology. If you want to talk to someone, you’ll walk over to their bungalow and say hi. On a walk into town, you’ll stop and chat with multiple people on the way to the store. Intimate social interactions are the norm. Maybe this is why so many people are very happy on the island?
Don’t take my word for it. Go and visit the island of Ambergris Caye for yourself! If you end up not liking the island, it’s because you are too negative or just boring!;)
Tropical Regards,

Rob
